Custom Malaysian batik corporate attire designed for the Cradle team
At Batik Boutique, partnerships are at the heart of how we create meaningful impact. Each collaboration goes beyond product development — it is an opportunity to celebrate Malaysian heritage, empower artisan communities, and help organisations express their values through purpose-driven design.
This case study highlights our collaboration with Cradle, a key driver of Malaysia’s startup ecosystem, where we designed and produced custom Malaysian batik corporate attire for their team.
The Partner
Cradle plays a significant role in shaping Malaysia’s innovation ecosystem, supporting startups, entrepreneurs, and technology-driven companies.
The Challenge
Corporate attire often lacks cultural identity and meaningful connection to local heritage. For organisations like Cradle, there was an opportunity to create something that reflects both their brand and Malaysian identity.
The goal was to develop corporate attire that is not only professional but also culturally meaningful and aligned with purpose.
Our Approach
Batik Boutique worked closely with Cradle to design and produce custom Malaysian batik attire tailored to their organisation.
This included:
-
Developing a unique batik design aligned with their brand
-
Producing high-quality wearable pieces suitable for corporate settings
-
Ensuring ethical production through artisan communities

Design Inspiration
Batik motif inspired by Buah Pelaga, blending heritage with modern identity
The design was inspired by Buah Pelaga (cardamom), a spice deeply rooted in Malaysian culture.
Elements of Cradle’s brand identity were subtly incorporated into the pattern, resulting in a textile that is both meaningful and distinctive to the organisation.
The Impact
Each piece is crafted by artisans, supporting sustainable livelihoods
This collaboration demonstrates how corporate partnerships can create meaningful impact beyond business.
By choosing Malaysian batik:
-
Artisan communities are supported through sustainable livelihoods
-
Traditional craftsmanship is preserved and celebrated
-
Organisations can express identity through purpose-driven design
