This Father's Day, we wanted to celebrate two fathers who help bring Batik Boutique's mission to life every day — Haziq from our Corporate team and Fitri from our Production team.
While their roles may be different, they share something important in common: a commitment to family, responsibility, and creating a better future for the next generation.

Haziq — Building a Future Through Presence
Watching his son grow is one of Haziq's greatest joys.
For Haziq, fatherhood is found in the everyday moments.
Whether it is sharing a laugh, going out together, or simply spending quality time with his son, those moments have become some of the most meaningful parts of his life.
"I have one son, and he is four years old," Haziq shares. "My favourite thing about being a father is watching him grow and discover new things every day. It is rewarding to be part of his journey and see his personality develop."
Like many parents, he found that becoming a father changed how he views the future.
"It has made me more responsible and thoughtful. I now make decisions not just for myself, but for my family as well."
One lesson fatherhood has taught him is patience.
"Sometimes the little moments matter the most."
In a world that often celebrates big achievements, Haziq finds meaning in the quieter moments — the conversations, the laughter, and the everyday experiences that build a strong relationship between parent and child.
Creating opportunities for communities while building a future for his family.
That perspective also influences how he approaches his work at Batik Boutique.
"Working at Batik Boutique gives me a sense of purpose. It is meaningful to be part of an organisation that supports local artisans while creating opportunities for communities."
To Haziq, batik is more than fabric.
"It represents our culture, heritage, and creativity. It is a craft that tells stories and connects us to our roots."
The values he hopes to pass on to his son are simple but powerful.
"I hope he learns the value of hard work, kindness, and always treating people with respect."
When asked what protecting his family means today, his answer goes beyond providing financially.
"Protecting my family means being there for them, not only financially, but emotionally."
It is a reminder that being a father is not just about preparing for the future — it is about being present today.
For Fitri, heritage is something meant to be shared and passed on.
Fitri — Passing Heritage to the Next Generation
For Fitri, fatherhood and heritage are deeply connected.
He is the father of a four-year-old daughter and describes some of his happiest moments as the simplest ones.
"I love spending time with my daughter and playing with her."
Becoming a father brought a new level of responsibility into his life.
"It has made me more responsible, especially towards my daughter. I have become more patient and focused on my family."
No matter how busy life becomes, one thing remains important to him.
"No matter how busy I am, I always find time to spend with my daughter."
For Fitri, those moments are priceless.
"Every moment we spend together cannot be replaced by money. They become memories that we will remember one day."
His perspective is a gentle reminder that children often remember time spent together far more than material things.
Every handcrafted piece reflects the care and attention behind the process.
Working in production at Batik Boutique allows Fitri to continue supporting his family while doing work he genuinely enjoys.
"Batik is about detailed art, and I enjoy doing detailed and technical work."
But for him, batik carries a deeper meaning than craftsmanship alone.
"It is part of our cultural heritage. It teaches us to preserve our traditions and culture. Every piece is made by hand and carries a story behind it."
Those values were first taught to him by his own father.
"My father taught me that batik is more than a craft. It is heritage, culture, and identity."
Today, he hopes to pass those same lessons on to his daughter.
"Always stay humble and do everything with heart. Be responsible and give one hundred percent in whatever you do."
When asked what he hopes his daughter remembers as she grows older, his answer is both simple and heartfelt.
"Every moment we spend together is priceless and cannot be replaced by money. Always respect the time we have together, in both hard and easy times."
