Design and Craftsmanship

The journal cover featured a Malaysian-inspired batik print across both the front and back, debossed into durable PU leather for a refined and professional finish.

Inside, the front and back endpapers featured a full-colour batik-inspired design printed on 120gsm ivory paper with UV varnish. The journal included 80 sheets of plain 70gsm ivory paper in a soft warm tone, suitable for writing, sketching, and note-taking.

Functional details such as an elastic band and ribbon bookmark made the journal practical for daily use, while the batik design created a stronger visual connection to Malaysian craftsmanship.

The back of the journal was debossed with the Batik Boutique logo. The pen was engraved with the Batik Boutique logo and customised with the wording “moving energy,” connecting the gift directly to MISC’s brand message.
