    As an official strategic partner, we showcased authentic batik gifts and presented a batik tie set to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, celebrating Malaysian heritage and artisan craftsmanship.

Recognition, Growth & Milestones

  • Founder Recognition: The founder of Batik Boutique was recognized among the Top 30 Women of Excellence and Top 30 Leaders in 2025, celebrating her leadership, innovation, and contribution to social entrepreneurship. More details on the honourees can be found here.

  • New Store Opening: Batik Boutique expanded its presence with a new store at IOI Putrajaya Mall, providing a dedicated space for customers to experience authentic Malaysian batik and explore sustainable fashion products.

  • Media Feature – Canting Telefilm: Batik Boutique’s journey was highlighted in the telefilm Canting, aired on TV1 Malaysia on October 25, 2025. The telefilm, which revolves around a successful batik entrepreneur, offers viewers an insight into the craft, heritage, and social impact of Malaysian batik. It is available for streaming on RTMKlik. Note: “Canting” is a telemovie and not confirmed as the debut film by the broadcaster.

  • SEAM Programme Participation: Batik Boutique was selected as one of ten social enterprises in the inaugural cohort of the Social Enterprise Accelerator Malaysia (SEAM) Programme, co-created by Biji-Biji Initiative and IKEA Social Entrepreneurship, with support from IKEA Malaysia. The programme provides mentorship, market access, and ecosystem-building opportunities to help social enterprises scale their impact sustainably. Through SEAM, Batik Boutique has strengthened its operations and expanded opportunities for marginalized communities in Malaysia, particularly through skills training in sewing and income-generating initiatives. Batik Boutique is ready to play a key role in Visit Malaysia 2026, developing new batik motifs, training more artisans, and bringing authentic Malaysian heritage to cultural tourism.
